What does a custom domain actually change?
It changes the address every calculator request goes to. Without one, your embedded calculators load from app.prequalfunnel.com; with one, they load from a subdomain you control, and every link and setting the calculator fetches points there too.
There are two purposes. A calculator domain (for example calculators.yourbrokerage.com) serves your embeds and calculator pages. A portal domain (for example app.yourbrokerage.com) serves the sign-in page and dashboard for your team, in your brand. Both are part of white-label, and both are available on Producer and Brokerage.
For a borrower, the difference is quiet but real: nothing in the address bar or the page source points at a vendor they have never heard of. For you, it means your embed code reads as part of your own stack, which helps when a web developer or compliance reviewer asks what that script is.
How do you connect a custom domain?
Connecting a domain takes two DNS records and a short wait while the checks run.

Choose the hostname
Pick a subdomain you control, such as calculators.yourbrokerage.com or app.yourbrokerage.com, and add it in your PrequalFunnel dashboard with its purpose.

Add the CNAME record
At your DNS provider, point the subdomain with a CNAME to the target shown in your dashboard. Root domains use an A record instead. On Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud).

Add the TXT verification record
Copy the TXT record from the dashboard (there are copy buttons) and add it. It proves you own the domain.

Wait for verification and SSL
Records are checked automatically every couple of minutes. Once they resolve, the status moves to verifying, an SSL certificate is issued, and the domain becomes active.

Do existing embeds break when you add a domain?
No. Embed codes you already placed keep working from app.prequalfunnel.com. New embed codes use your domain once it is active, so you can switch pages over at your own pace. If you ever remove the domain or drop to Originator, swap back to standard embed codes first so nothing points at an address that no longer serves calculators.

Proxying gets in the way
CDN proxying (Cloudflare's orange cloud) blocks verification and certificate issue. Keep the record DNS only.
Propagation varies

Sign-in on a portal domain is for your team
Public sign-up is off there, people from other accounts cannot sign in, and billing stays on app.prequalfunnel.com.

I use Cloudflare. Anything special?
Yes: set the CNAME to DNS only (the grey cloud). With proxying on, verification and certificate issue cannot complete. You can keep proxying on for the rest of your site.
Will a custom domain help my calculators rank in search?
Not by itself, and we do not promise rankings. Embedded calculators are marked so search engines do not index them as separate pages; the SEO value sits on the page where you embed them. Inline embeds can include crawlable heading, intro and definitions text on your own page.
Can my LOs sign in on our own domain?
Yes, with a portal domain. Your team signs in on, for example, app.yourbrokerage.com, in your branding. Users from other accounts cannot sign in there, and billing pages stay on app.prequalfunnel.com.
What happens to embeds I placed before adding the domain?
They keep working. Only embed codes generated after the domain is active use the new address. Replace older codes when convenient, page by page.
Can I use more than one calculator domain?
