Multilingual mortgage calculators in six languages, for every page you embed

One embed, six languages, and no second website to maintain.

Free plan, no card. Paid plans include a 14-day trial.

Two overlapping speech-bubble cards, each holding a bar chart and a house, joined by a dotted path to an approval check

Every PrequalFunnel calculator speaks six languages today: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic, with Arabic laid out right to left. The borrower can switch languages inside the calculator, field help and definitions exist in all six, and you set the default language per embed. The lead still lands in your CRM with every input and result, so your follow-up starts from the same numbers.

Key takeaways

  • All 0 calculators run in 6 languages on every plan, including the free Originator plan.
  • English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic (right to left) are all built in.
  • Visitors switch language inside the calculator; you choose the default per embed with one attribute.
  • Field help, definitions and disclaimers are written for each language, not machine-swapped labels.
  • Leads arrive with the same inputs and results whichever language the borrower used.

01

Why does a loan officer need calculators in more than one language?

Because many US homebuyers would rather run the numbers in their own language, and a calculator they can read is a calculator they finish. Spanish is the biggest of those audiences, and Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic speakers are core markets for many LOs. A borrower who understands what "relación deuda-ingreso (DTI)" means on screen is far more likely to submit the lead form than one guessing at an English label.

Most LO websites handle this with a separate translated page, a translation plugin that mangles financial terms, or nothing at all. PrequalFunnel builds the language into the calculator itself. The same embed serves every audience, the borrower picks the language, and the math, charts and amortization tables behave identically.

For you, that means one setup, one set of calculators to brand, and one lead flow into your built-in CRM or HighLevel. If you already market to Spanish-speaking or other multilingual families, see how other LOs structure that work on the bilingual loan officers page.

What exactly is translated?

Everything the borrower reads inside the calculator is available in all six languages; your own custom copy is the one part you supply.

Field labels and help text

Every input, from purchase price to monthly debts, has a translated label and tooltip in each language that explains what to enter and why it matters.

Results, charts and amortization

Payment breakdowns, PITI components, charts and schedules render with headings in the borrower's language; Arabic lays out right to left. Numbers stay in US dollar format so they match your loan documents.

Definitions block

Terms such as PITI, DTI, PMI and APR carry a plain-language definition in each language, so the borrower learns the vocabulary you will use on the first call.

Disclaimer

The estimate disclaimer appears in the borrower's language, which keeps the "this is an estimate, not an offer" message clear for every audience.

Lead form

The Get a Quote or Contact form, including the consent line, follows the selected language so the borrower knows what they are agreeing to.

How is this different from a website translation plugin?

A plugin translates text after the fact; PrequalFunnel ships each calculator with language-specific copy built in.

Translation plugin on your site

  • Often misses text rendered inside a calculator or iframe
  • Literal translations of terms like "escrow" or "points"
  • Can reflow numbers or break currency formatting
  • Separate setting to maintain per page
  • Nothing ensures the lead form matches the page language

PrequalFunnel multilingual calculators

  • Labels, help, results and definitions written for each of six languages
  • Mortgage vocabulary borrowers actually search for, in Spanish and beyond
  • Dollar amounts and math identical in every language
  • One embed attribute sets the default; the visitor can switch
  • Lead form and consent line follow the selected language

Your disclosures need to be in the borrower's language too

If you market in Spanish or any other language, your surrounding page should carry your NMLS ID, Equal Housing Opportunity statement, state licensing details and consent language in that language as well. PrequalFunnel translates the calculator, not your legal copy. Check with your compliance team or counsel on how your state and your company handle non-English advertising and TCPA consent.

How do you choose which language shows first?

Set the default per embed with the data-lang attribute (en, es, zh, ko, vi or ar); the borrower can still switch at any time.

Language is a per-embed setting; see all embed attributes on the embed options page.

FAQ · 10 questions

Questions loan officers ask

Which languages do the calculators speak?

Six: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic. Arabic renders right to left. Every calculator on this site is covered, including payment, affordability, DTI, FHA, VA and refinance tools, so you never have to check which ones are translated before embedding.

Are all the calculators available in Spanish, or only some?

All of them, the affordability calculator included. Field help, results, definitions and the disclaimer are available in Spanish and in the other five languages.

Do I need a paid plan for other languages?

No. All six languages are included on every plan, including the free Originator plan. Paid plans add things like webhooks, white-label branding and custom domains, but language support is not gated. You can embed a Spanish- or Korean-default calculator the same day you sign up.

Can the borrower switch languages themselves?

Yes. The visitor can switch between any of the six languages inside the calculator. Their inputs are kept as they switch, so a borrower who starts in English and wants to check a term in Spanish or Vietnamese does not have to start over.

How do I make Spanish (or another language) the default?

Add data-lang="es" to the embed code, or zh, ko, vi or ar for Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese or Arabic. The calculator then loads in that language on that page, while the visitor can still switch. Use it on in-language landing pages and any page your in-language ads point to.

Will the lead tell me which language the borrower used?

The lead arrives with every input and result the borrower saw, plus the page URL and traffic source. If you run each language on its own pages or campaigns, the page URL and UTM tags make it clear where the lead came from, which is how most LOs route borrowers to a teammate who speaks their language.

Are the translated terms the ones borrowers actually use?

The Spanish is neutral US-Hispanic Spanish, using phrases people search for, such as "calculadora de hipoteca" and "relación deuda-ingreso", and the other languages follow the same approach. Acronyms like FHA, VA, PITI and DTI stay as borrowers see them on loan documents, with a short explanation the first time they appear.

Can I translate my own custom button text and headings?

PrequalFunnel lets you write custom copy for every label, heading and button. The built-in text is translated into all six languages; custom copy you add is your own wording, so review it for each audience or keep each language's campaigns on a separately configured embed.

Does changing the language change any of the math?

No. The formulas, rounding and dollar formatting are identical in every language. A borrower who enters the same numbers in English and in Spanish, Chinese or Arabic gets the same payment, the same DTI and the same amortization schedule.

Does it work inside HighLevel funnels and WordPress?

Yes. Language is part of the calculator, not the host page, so it works wherever the embed works: HighLevel funnels and websites, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or plain HTML. See the embed options page for the snippet and modes.
